Caring for Wildlife and Domestic Animals

Hi, my name is Lauren! Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn to animal rescue. I have always had a passion to advocate for animals, and help them in any way I could.

At the age of 14, my fascination with wildlife rehabilitation took root when my neighbor showed me her baby squirrels. She found multiple nests that were knocked down in a storm with no mother in sight. Eager to lend a hand, I volunteered to assist her in every aspect of the rehabilitation process, from bottle-feeding to cage maintenance.</p>

As the years went by, my soft spot for animals only grew. Strays, shelter pets—you name it, I wanted to help. And then I met Tina. She lived nearby and was knee-deep in the world of rehab, including opossums, squirrels, and kittens. I immediately fell in love helping with them, and learned everything I could from her, including tube feeding opossums.

While volunteering at a local wildlife sanctuary, my determination to make a meaningful difference grew stronger. In March 2024, I took a significant step forward by obtaining my own wildlife rehabilitation license through the state, marking the beginning of a journey dedicated to serving animals in need.

As a self-funded wildlife volunteer, I am so grateful for the support and generosity of the public! I appreciate all members of the community that have helped in any way, from donating blankets, transporting wildlife, or simply asking for advice. I couldn't do it without support!
